During of a day full of fun and joy, Jordan National Red Crescent Society, in cooperation with the Danish Red Cross, held a family day for Jordanian, Syrian and Iraq families who came together to enjoy the nice weather in Green Field park in Amman.

The event was supervised by the psychosocial support programme team that develop social initiatives to create an atmosphere of fun and joy that promote the integration of refugee children among their peers in the local communities and facilitate the communications among them.

“We saw the joy and happiness on the children faces,” said Razan Obaid, head of the psychosocial support programme, who was there during the event. “Around 700 children of all ages from Al Hashimi Al Shamali, Marka and Nazzal cities played together in a peaceful happy atmosphere.”

The children enjoyed their day in this beautiful place that included public services and security. Many cartoon characters played with the children and painted their faces. At the end of the event, the children and their parents enjoyed delicious meals.

President of Jordan National Red Crescent Society, His Excellency Dr. Mohammad Al-Hadid, directs the society to hold more social initiatives that aim to bond the different communities in one.

“These events promote understanding, coexistence and acceptance among all parties in Jordan, and build a life full of aspiration and hope for a brighter future.”
