Historical blood donation posters from around the world

To mark World Blood Donor Day, celebrated each year on 14 June, the IFRC has published a small selection of historical posters used by National Societies around the world to promote voluntary non-remunerated blood donation. For decades, many National Societies have been involved in blood donation either directly, or in support of programmes by national authorities.

International disaster law course for academics and practitioners

The law faculties of the Universities of Bologna, Roma Tre, Uninettuno and Pisa, S. Anna (acting through their “International Disaster Law Project”) and the IFRC Disaster Law Programme co-convene an annual “International Disaster Law Course” targeted to academics and practioners and hosted by the International Institute for Humanitarian Law in Sanremo, Italy. The next session of the course will be held on 13-17 June 2016.
